What can I say about lettering.   You are only limited to the fonts that you have on your system.  This was one of the first things that I wanted to do to may pages to make them look good.  When I started I sent e:mail messages to lots of people and got no response.  Well I finally found out that It was not as hard as I thought.  I use Paint Shop Pro, Asymetrix Web 3D and Microsoft Image Composer depending on how fancy I want to get.

psp5sm.gif (8463 bytes)Paint Shop Pro has a full blown shareware version.  There is a new version 5.0 out now but I haven't tried it yet.  I guess I use PSP the most.  If you play with it enough you can learn how to do just about anything from shadowing to graphic touchups.

web3d_image.gif (11770 bytes)Asymetrix Web 3D is a little harder to learn but well worth the time. You can do alot with it other than lettering.  I use it to do everything from web page lettering to Windows wallpapers.  If you have read anything about raytraceing but sounds too scarry to try ... believe me it isn't.  The program does all of that stuff for you.

fpbox.jpg (16105 bytes)Microsoft Image Composer comes with Microsoft Front Page.  When I bought the MS Front Page I got it to use as a server but ... the Image Composer was there as an extra.  It does great lettering along with a lot of other things.  I also use the Front Page editor to write the pages.  If you want a professional looking page with all of the extras buy it.  Not many web servers will be able to use the Front Page components though.gold11.jpg (1789 bytes)
